Gastroenterology in Vienna

As a specialized internal medicine center, we offer care for all gastroenterological clinical pictures under one roof. We place special emphasis on preventive colonoscopy. After all, every third Austrian over the age of 50 who has no complaints has polyps or adenomas (precancerous lesions), which can develop malignantly without being detected.

Endoscopies in our group-practice are performed exclusively by experienced gastroenterologists using state-of-the-art equipment. We also perform colonoscopy with medical gas (CO2 – carbon dioxide) instead of normal room air, which has clear advantages for the patient (hardly any flatulence after the examination). At the patient’s request, a “gentle endoscopy” can of course also be performed using a “sleep agent”. This “twilight sleep” is a health insurance benefit in our group-practice for both gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and is therefore free of charge for our patients.
