Venous Photoplethysmography in Vienna at our Group-Practice

This test identifies venous diseases in the legs, such as chronic venous insufficiency (weak veins), particularly in patients with swollen legs. Small sensors placed on the lower leg measure venous flow at rest and after movement. While painless and risk-free, the exact location of venous weakness cannot be pinpointed. If abnormal findings are detected, vascular ultrasound is performed for precise localization and length assessment.
